Welcome to Too Awesome For Production, where I highlight the greatest concept cars of all time. I will continue to do this until I get bored or run out of ideas. The Audi Nanuk Quattro Concept is the greatest concept car of the past decade. Do not try and argue, just look: MotorBlog: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:IAA_2013_Audi_Nanuk_Quattro_(9834335834).jpg Like a modern version of Porsche’s 959 Dakar racer, the Nanuk is basically a lifted, diesel powered Audi R8. Which probably makes it worse than an R8 to drive, and all for off-road ability that not a single prospective owner would ever use. But who cares? When the car is this cool? It has a 5.0 liter triple turbo diesel V10 that makes 536 horsepower and a whopping 738 lb/ft of torque. It will go from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 3.8 seconds, and on to a top speed of 190. And I have to stop now, before I drool all over the laptop I am typing this on. Robert Basic: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:IAA_2013_(11148598416).jpg

AuthorRory Cahill is a highly sarcastic teenage car enthusiast and amateur automotive journalist, who is especially interested in 80s/90s cars, classic off-roaders, and anything weird. He owns a 1984 Mercedes-Benz 300D Turbodiesel. He is also very interested in rock music and politics, and wrote this whole bio in the third person because he is a filthy, filthy snob Archives
